Dear Members and Friends of the Cathedral,

Greetings from Wellington, New Zealand, where I’m giving talks to the priests and people this week. Earlier this week I offered similar sessions in Palmerston North. I have two more stops before coming home.

Father Ken will be back with at the cathedral this weekend. He’ll hear confessions and celebrate Mass on Saturday, and then he’ll return for both Masses Sunday morning. Father Scott Brossart will be back to help you on Sunday night.

Those interested in joining the church meet Sunday mornings at 10. If you know someone who would like more information, please invite them to fill out our form.

Adult faith formation continues on Monday night at 6:30, discussing the Bible Timeline. You are welcome to join.

Many of you have contributed to our renovation fund, which provided the new HVAC and roof. Thank you. New LED lights are on order. You will still see some enhancements, but we still need help to pay down our debts. If you’d like to contribute, go here.

P. S.  Here’s a view inside the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Palmerston North. On Sunday evening I concelebrated with a missionary priest from the Philippines and with Bishop John Adams. It’s a little hard to see, but behind the altar, on either side, just inside the tallest pillars that reach an arch at the top there are additional pillars that change color from red to white, bottom to top. It’s like an image of the Holy Spirit.
