All are invited to the ninth annual Green Mass, this year at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, on Sunday October 4, 2026 at 11 AM. Reception and exhibits will follow. We celebrate Green Mass within the Season of Creation: September 1 - October 4.
A Green Mass, or “Mass for Creation” highlights important Catholic teachings* that we are called to responsible stewardship of the earth and its resources, which support every life given by God, our Creator.
The Green Mass especially gathers those who work in or are interested in environmental sustainability, such as farmers, gardeners, other horticulturalists and agriculturalists, environmental scientists, and anyone who cares for our Common Home.
Many Christian faiths observe the Season of Creation. September 1 is the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation. This ecumenical season ends on October 4, the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi.
