Building Glory Capital Campaign

On St. Patrick’s Day March 17, 2024, Bishop James V. Johnston and Pastor Father Paul Turner hosted a hard hat tour of the new Donnelly Hall (see pictures below). Named after the parishs first pastor, Father Bernard Donnelly, the new parish hall began its construction a year ago with the demolition of the old Donnelly Hall and rectory. The tours of the ongoing construction allowed parishioners and other donors to the Building Glory campaign to a get a preview of the new facility. At 19,000 square feet the two-story Bishop Hogan Center at 11th and Broadway features:

  • A glass bridge connecting the new hall to the Cathedral.
  • Better accessibility from expanded campus parking to the Cathedral.
  • New parish offices, meeting rooms, music rehearsal studio, sacristy, restrooms, and gift shop
  • Administrative offices and emergency assistance services for Morning Glory Ministries now that the food service has moved to the Catholic Center at 20 W. 9th Street.
  • A 300-seat parish hall with catered kitchen suitable for receptions after diocesan celebrations, weddings, concerts, evangelization and faith formation, and usable by other parishes and select groups.
Phase Two of Building Glory Begins

The Building Glory campaign has been more than five years in planning and construction and has raised more than $13 million from the parish, the Catholic community and local foundations and corporations. Due to its success the parish has decided to move on with phase two of this campaign with an announced $3 million renovation of the Cathedral proper. Among other things this will include a new roof, heating and cooling systems, exterior lighting, and painting of both interior and exterior. This phase is now in progress and those wishing to pledge may use the same method of donation outlined below.
