Liturgical Commission

The purpose and function of the Cathedral Liturgical Commission is as follows:

• To be fully informed on the state of liturgical activity in the Cathedral.
• To serve as communication link and liaison between the Cathedral Liturgy office and the members of the Liturgical ministry you represent.
• To assist the Liturgy office in the scheduling of ministers for major liturgical seasons and feasts.
• To assist in the preparation and evaluation of liturgical programs and liturgical seasons.
• To suggest and promote practical programs of every kind that may contribute to the advancement of liturgical life at the Cathedral.
• To help carry out faithfully those proposals in liturgical matters made by the Diocese and the United States Council of Catholic Bishops [USCCB.]
• To see to it that programs in the Cathedral designed to promote liturgy go forward with the cooperation and mutual help of other groups.
• Attend four [4] meetings each year.
